Coincident Peak Management

Transmission fees, tied to peak electricity usage, are a key cost driver in mining and aim to support grid reliability by discouraging high demand during peak periods.

Revolve Labs has developed a sound machine learning model to aggregate data across domains in order to forecast the Peak hour. This has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings at our company.

Note

The ML model is not integrated into the CPM app, which is set for manual entry and analysis at the moment. However, its output information is used to suggest curtailment hours to clients and for Revolve Labs' sites. The actual peak hour informed in the bill at the end of the month is both logged here and fed into the model.
